Marcia is a graduate of York University’s Dispute Resolution program. She is an experienced Mediator, Coach and Facilitator with a strong track record in resolving complex disputes. With a deep commitment to diversity and inclusion, Marcia is skilled in navigating cases involving intersectional issues where factors such as gender, race, and cultural biases overlap. Her approach is grounded in active listening, and cultural competence, ensuring that each mediation honours the unique backgrounds and experiences of all participants.
As a Mediator, Marcia has extensive experience in civil court cases, providing impartial guidance to help parties navigate disputes and reach mutually satisfactory resolutions. Marcia also served as a community mediator for the City of Toronto, specializing in workplace, housing and neighborhood conflicts, ensuring fair outcomes while promoting dialogue and trust among diverse populations. Marcia is a seasoned expert in workplace health and safety with a specialized focus on psychological health and safety. As the former Co-Chair of Occupational Health and Safety for the City of Toronto, Marcia played a pivotal role in advancing mental well-being initiatives in the workplace through innovative training programs.
Now at the helm of her consulting company, Berkeley Inclusive Group, Marcia continues her mission by designing and facilitating workshops and training that emphasize equity, inclusion, and the power of clear, effective communication in fostering healthier workplaces. Her dynamic approach bridges her extensive experience with her passion for creating environments where individuals feel valued, heard, and supported.
